    This is a review of Practical Problems in VLSI Physical Design Automation (by Sung Kyu Lim). The book, which grew out of a graduate-level course, focuses on helping readers grasp the essence of each algorithm presented and then to develop relevant algorithmic skills. Numerous illustrations make the examples fun and help readily convey the intracies of fairly sophisticated algorithms.
