Abstract :
This year tests will be carried out on projects Relay and Telstar. Success in the eventual creation of a world-wide satellite communication system will depend on the development of long-life satellite equipment, on the choice of a suitable configuration of satellites, and on international co-operation in the allocation of frequencies.
