  • Abstract
    The first tutorial in this three-part series looked at the early use of fuses from 1864 and at basic fuselink behaviour. This second article considers the use of fuselinks in power networks including characteristics, I2t values and operating frequency. A number of general matters are considered and then arrangements which have to be adopted to provide adequate protection and discrimination in a number of particular applications are considered in some detail
