Abstract :
The analysis and calculation of patterns of Cassegrain antennas are presented in detail. Usually in the calculation it is unavoidable to complete the integrals across the main reflector of the antenna, leading to a very long computation time for a large reflector. Here, by means of a series of mathematical evaluations the integration across the main reflector of the antenna is transferred to the aperture of the feeder and therefore the computation is drastically reduced. A number of simplified formulas of patterns suitable for numerical calculation by ordinary microcomputers are given
