Abstract :
If you are not directly involved with running IT systems, or setting their strategy, you may be a bit hazy about Cloud Computing "Is it something to do with meteorological monitoring?", a delegate at the recent Internet World exhibition was heard to ask. Even more computer-savvy colleagues may wonder why the ιC word lards so many media headlines and conference agendas, while seasoned computer engineers continue to protest, "Cloud Computing is not a standardised technology, it is a marketing buzzword, and as such does not exist in my book".
