Abstract :
This paper describes the application of MOSFET radiation dosimeters on MIR Space Station and BION-10 in 1992, and later on BION-11 in 1996. Dosimeters, placed within the cosmonauts´ sleeping quarters on MIR, measured an average dose of 0.030 cGy/day3 over 430 days. At the other extreme, MOSFET dosimeters packaged behind very thin shields and placed externally on BION-10, measured doses as high as 22 Gy/day3. Measurements on BION-11 were a factor of 6-20 lower than those first observed on BION-10, showing the high degree of variability of the trapped electron environment over time
