Abstract :
At the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Institute held December 11, 1914, it was decided, after a long discussion of the advantages and disadvantages of the different dates that had been suggested for the Institute convention in San Francisco in 1915, that the best interests of the Institute, considering its relations with other engineering societies and the International Engineering Congress, require that the San Francisco Convention be held in September, and the following resolutions were adopted:
