Abstract :
The authors present a novel, repetition-rate tunable, micromechanical passively mode-locked semiconductor laser, which consists of a multi-segment laser with a monolithic moving micro-mirror driven by an electrostatic comb structure. Continuous repetition-rate tunability by mirror displacement is demonstrated in 22.7 GHz fundamental mode-locking
