Abstract :
During the past three years the desirability of amending the constitution of the Institute has been considered by the Board of Directors. Each year the Board has authorized the appointment of a committee to consider and report upon the advisability of undertaking a revision. In order to ascertain the extent of the sentiment in favor of a revision, the present Constitutional Revision Committee invited suggestions and comments, through the medium of circular letters and notices in the monthly Institute Proceedings, from all officers of the Institute, the past-presidents, all Section officers, and the membership at large. The result of this was the receipt of a considerable number of suggestions, all of which received careful consideration by the committee.
