Abstract :
In comparing this text with previous books in this field and in particular with one of the best known texts, “Electronic Switching, Timing, and Pulse Circuits” by Pettit and McWhorter, we find four major differences. Van der Ziel 1) has a chapter on Boolean algebra, 2) has more extensive coverage of logic circuits, 3) has a chapter on linear oscillators, and 4) uses differential equations and classical solutions throughout rather than the Laplace transform.
