Abstract :
Since the time of my last report to you, the Circuits and Systems Society has held its annual symposium in Chicago. This Symposium was highly successful and the Society owes a debt of gratitude to Ben Leon and Mac Van Valkenburg, who served as Co-Chairmen of the 1981 ISCAS. Special thanks are also due to Tom Trick who put together an outstanding technical program with an appropriate mixture of invited and contributed sessions. Each of the sessions had the right balance between theoretically oriented papers and those with a practical bent. The sessions were well-attended and very stimulating. There is no question that this conference extends the Circuits and Systems Society´s tradition of having a high-quality, well-organized conference. For those of you who were unable to attend, the Conference Proceedings may be ordered through headquarters (IEEE Catalog No. 81CH1635–2).
