Abstract :
In this paper, we propose an optimal spectrum detector for fast fading Rayleigh channel when primary user pilot signal are known to the cognitive radio and the statistical properties of the fading channel either are known or can be estimated sufficiently accurate at cognitive radio. We also analyze the performance of the proposed detector by obtaining closed form expressions. Comparing with other detectors numerically shows the performance gain of our proposed detector.
