            Abstract :
Height-gain and correlation measurements for a 145 km path show a variation of the profile between low and high signal conditions which may be reproduced by combining a scattered component with a small height-gain variation and a diffracted-refracted component which has a `6 db per doubling´ variation. The correlation measurements show a decrease to 0.5 correlation for a 8 m vertical or a 35 meter horizontal spacing.
