Abstract :
The maximum likelihood estimator of the angle-of-arrival of sources having diverse polarization is derived and computed via the simulated annealing optimization technique. The estimator is applicable equally well to the case of coherent signals appearing, for example, in multipath propagation problems and to the case of a single snapshot. Simulation results that demonstrate the performance of the algorithm are included
