Abstract :
A method is developed that permits the solution of scattering by arrays of a finite number of anisotropic cylinders in a convenient and accurate form. It is based on an analytic formulation using the boundary value problem and an application of a point matching technique. The method is subsequently applied to study the scattering properties of linear arrays of magnetized ferrite cylinders, and to determine the size and spacing of these scatters to improve the directivity of linear antennas. In addition, by means of this method, a continuous beam scanning is achieved by a ring array of ferrite circular cylinders.
