On March 26th a symposium on the above subject was held in the Engineering Societies Building, under the auspices of the local sections of the American Institute of Mining and Metallurgical Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Society of Automotive Engineers. Invitations to participate in the meeting were extended to fifteen other engineering societies, including the A. I. E. E.
