  • Abstract
    The world´s largest flue gas desulphurisation (FGD) plant retrofit project at National Power´s Drax power station in North Yorkshire, UK, reached successful completion last February, ahead of the original eight-year project programme. This article considers the completed main electrical power system servicing the FGD plant auxiliaries and the contract strategy selected for its procurement.
