Abstract :
This Article Addresses the Design and optimization of a small-sized linear electrodynamic actuator, to be inserted below a computer key so as to provide a force feedback to the user. The importance given to the sense of feeling has been growing in different domains: from simple game controllers to professional environments such as surgery [1], virtual reality [2], and robotics. Force feedback devices slowly appeared to be useful even in daily lives. It is notably the case for the new generation of portable phones with vibrating touch screens and, more recently, in the computer mice [3].
