Abstract :
This paper analyzes traditional architecture and functionality of English language education website, and points out that the lack of a client/server (C/S) network model. Peer to peer (P2P) system architecture is implemented in English language teaching website. This architecture does not only take full advantage of the computing power and communication bandwidth of each online node, but also provides convenience to share resources between students and teachers. In this paper, a P2P-based foreign language teaching system can effectively compensate for the deficiencies of the traditional teaching website. This application of P2P technology in multimedia network can help English language education be more efficient.
