  • Abstract
The Tibetan traditional dwelling of Nyingchi area has better adapted to the plateau harsh climatic conditions, which provides basic production and living security for people, but there are some fields to improve inevitably. In this paper, found the shortages and defects of traditional dwelling through the test and comparison of environmental indicators of indoor and outdoor traditional dwelling (temperature, humidity, illumination and wind speed). The results show that: on the one hand, the heavy external retaining structure has good thermal stability, low cost and distinctive features, the building orientation and plan form are good, which helps to get more sunshine, on the other hand, the light transparent area of window is small, although this structure helps to keep warm, but hinder the sunshine into the room through window, the sealing performance of wooden doors is bad which leads to phenomenon of cold air infiltration, the thermal storage capacity of indoor wooden structure is bad which causes the heat losing too fast, therefore, reducing indoor temperature.
