Abstract :
Layout and high-voltage test results are presented for the prototypes of 30 kV, 40 kA cryogenic current leads and 30 kV insulation breaks for "cold" and "warm" helium piping. The particular features of the developed insulating items are the use of N/sub 2/ gas as the main bushing insulation of the leads, and the reduced dimensions of the glass-epoxy insulating breaks with optimized configuration of the edge stainless steel transition branch pipes.
