The eccentric engineer

ENGINEERS have had remarkable success with mechanising some of the more tedious parts of human life, but automatically telling when someone is spinning you a whopper isn´t one of them. A machine that could tell when you´re lying would allow the police to simply ask suspects if they committed the crime and then sentence or release them accordingly. So it´s hardly surprising that people have been working on just such a machine for some time.
