Engineering council acts upon industrial efficiency

At its meeting of April 18 Engineering Council appointed a special committee on Industrial Affairs as mentioned elsewhere in this issue. Owing to the rapidity with which the Army and Naval Appropriation bills are being considered by Congress and the fact that these bills contain proposals opposed to well-tried industrial methods for improving efficiency and increasing production in manufacturing plants, the committee without delay drafted a resolution which was adopted by special action of Engineering Council.
