Color temperature and its relation to the quality of light

In a paper¹ presented before the Illuminating Engineering Society in October 1921 at Rochester, the subject of color temperature and its relation to the quality of the emitted light for a number of different light sources was discussed. There it was shown that by the use of the color temperature of a light source a number is given which expresses the quality of the light of those sources to which the method applies.
