Abstract :
Presented is a multiband terminal antenna providing two wide bands for covering seven-band LTE/GSM/UMTS operation. This new antenna comprises an electric monopole with parasitic shorted strip and two back-to-back slot monopoles, which can be seen as magnetic monopoles. The two slot monopoles are excited by the coupling of two microstrip stubs on the back side, and the electric monopole is connected to the microstrip feeding line directly. A prototype has been constructed and tested. Simulated and measured results are given.
