Abstract :
There exists problems in information exchanging and communication obstacle for traditional project management model. So corresponding measures should be taken to make transformation from traditional mode to the direction of network-based information processing. By comprehensive analysis on IT applications of construction project management and on information flow modeling techniques, combined with the research conclusions on multiple engineering modeling methods, we design an improved modeling method based on IDEF0 as tool for the construction process. This method can provide integration of functions and information, for the special requirements of the construction process. Taking into account the urban construction features and craft processes in our country, we perform analysis on the content and hierarchy of construction process and improved modeling technology is used to construct the simulated general model with information flow. Then the optimal Problem Solving Matrix is used to optimize the construction process. In the actual case study, the optimized construction process has been proved to reduce the activity period and ensure the assembly-line, which raises the efficiency of urban construction.
