Abstract :
This paper is a consolidation of the basic, “official,” working material on reproduction (copying) by libraries of copyrighted works. It includes section 108 of the Copyright Law of 1976, “Guidelines for the Proviso of Subsection 108 (g) (2),” and portions of the analysis and discussion of library copying by the House and Senate Committees on the Judiciary, Reports 94–1476 and 94–473, respectively, and by the House-Senate Conference Committee, Report 94–1733.
