Abstract :
A narrow transverse slit in the signal strip of a conventional CPW is characterised using the experimental resonance frequency. It is shown that both the resonance frequency and the bandwidth decrease as functions of the slit depth. Furthermore, the equivalent series inductance for the slit in a CPW is calculated by changing the inductance relation of the slit in the microstrip. The resonance frequencies calculated by means of this relation are in excellent agreement with the measured resonance frequencies
