Abstract :
This book is intended to be a text for the first-year graduate student in electrical engineering. The book may also serve as a good reference for the practising engineer, who would like to understand the basic principles and common features behind a wide variety of signal processing applications. The authors have attempted and, to a great extent, succeeded in presenting the principles of detection and estimation theory and illustrating them with application areas in communication and control system disciplines.
