Abstract :
One of the first commercial systems to recognize continuously spoken words automatically was the Nippon Electric Co.´s DP-100. With an identification capability of approximately 100 different words, the DP-100 is aimed at such applications as routing and inventory control in warehouses. Direct voice input here is cost-effective.
