  • Abstract
    The idea of using a varying step size is incorporated into the Etter and Stearns (1981) gradient descent adaptive algorithm for estimating time delays between two sampled signals. One of the two derived modifications has improved capabilities for tracking time varying delays. The other maintains its convergence in high noisy environments.
