Abstract :
Since 2011 RTE has been implemented a new policy on live working (LW), with the intention of dynamizing the activity. This new policy has multiple objectives: to reduce outages of strategic circuits as much as possible to improve network performance, develop and maintain the professionalism of employees and promote innovations to push back technical boundaries. This policy is based on 4 strategies: a strong commitment by management at all levels of the company, continuous improvement of LW methods and tools in order to take account of lessons learned from working sites, creating innovative work sites and seeking to improve knowledge of physical phenomena and promoting technical advances. After three years´ implementation, the result is very positive and confirms RTE´s strategic directions in the field of Live Working.
