Abstract :
A high efficiency and low sidelobe shaped Cassegrain twist reflector antenna with four-horn triple-mode monopulse feed is synthesised. The far-field radiation pattern of the main reflector is specified by the desired Taylor pattern with n=6 and the design peak sidelobe level of -25 dB. A four-horn triple-mode monopulse feed is designed and fabricated. A polarisation twisting technique is applied to the shaped Cassegrain antenna for reducing the blocking of the main aperture by the subreflector. The aperture efficiency can be raised to about 79%.
