Abstract
An optical feedforward compensation circuit for linearisation of analogue modulated semiconductor lasers is described. A reduction in the second harmonic distortion of greater than 14 dB and the third-order intermodulation distortion of greater than 10 dB over the frequency range 100 MHz-1.5 GHz is reported.
