Abstract :
Lecturing is generally used for conveying information. Since lectures nominally present only a passive learning situation, it is important that material be carefully organized with emphasis or relatively few key points, amount of information covered be controlled and repetition provided, and testing of learning with rapid feedback be included. Effectiveness objectives and criteria are described and ten suggestions for lecture improvement are made.
