Abstract
A sensitivity concept is used to analyze the regulator´s effect on power system damping. Various types of regulators, including automatic voltage regulators, power system stabilizers and speed governors, are investigated in a one-machine infinite bus system and a 13-machine power system. The results are compared with those obtained by the torque concept.
