Abstract :
The ratio of photoelectric current JL in mixtures of liquid nitrogen (LN2), liquid argon (LAr), and liquid methane (LCH4) to that in vacuum JV was measured for a wide range of electric field strengths E. From the analysis of curves of JL /JV vs. E, the electron mobility μ in LN2/LAr and LN2/LCH4 was estimated as a function of mol fraction of N2 X*, where *=N2; μ decreased exponentially with X*. The liquid temperature at a saturation vapor pressure of 0.1 MPa, the normal boiling temperature, and the enthalpy change for vaporization were obtained
