Electronics teaching at universities

Some new ideas on a project-based system of electronics teaching at the university are attracting attention in Germany. The advantages and disadvantages of these ideas, and the possibility of their extension to British universities, are discussed in this article, which begins by considering the world´s oldest universities, along with European universities of the medieval period, and the effects that these early establishments have had on current trends in German university education
