Abstract :
A novel optical method to assemble an optical lightwave synthesizer or a tunable laser source based on multiple exploitation of frequency-shifting devices is demonstrated. Different optical frequencies are accessible out of a frequency comb using one of several linear or nonlinear filter processes that follow spectral spreading and despreading of laser light
