Abstract
OFDM is a powerful modulation technique that increases bandwidth efficiency and simplifies the removal of distortion, due to a multipath channel. Advances in fast Fourier transform technology enable OFDM to be efficiently implemented in hardware, even for a large number of subbands. OFDM is currently being used for a number of different applications. This increased popularity will lead to exciting developments in OFDM transmitter and receiver technology
