Abstract :
The feasibility of developing a circuit extraction tool in the form of the SPICE circuit extractor (SCE) program is established to help in the computer-aided analysis of semicustom chips. The structure of the base file needed to store the model parameters and the mode of retrieval of this information based on the layout information, is explained. The program facilitates the simulation of special on-chip conditions which arise on semicustom chips. The input language has been designed to simplify the task of layout description.
