Abstract
Aliasing of sampled monocomponent polynomial-phase signals is investigated. The results are applicable to general sampling schemes, and it is shown that aliasing can be avoided by sampling the signal nonuniformly in time. Examples illustrate how this property can be exploited in Doppler radar in order to avoid ambiguity in estimates of the kinematic parameters of the target
