Abstract :
The large power penalties encountered in the linear electronic compensation of dispersion induced LED pulse distortion can be reduced by using an electron decision feedback equalisation scheme. It is shown that with multi-bit shift feedback the residual penalty is comparable to that achieved when using a dispersion compensation fibre
