Abstract :
A new hybrid time domain method is presented which combines three well-known numerical techniques. i.e. the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method, finite element (FE) method and method of moments (MoM). The hybrid scheme has been designed to handle complex geometries comprising arbitrary thin-wire structures and inhomogeneous dielectric regions the shape of which can also be arbitrary. Numerical results are presented which illustrate the accuracy of the method
