Abstract :
A photodetector which extracts and detects light at a specific wavelength travelling through a fibre is presented. The detector is a semiconductor waveguide evanescently coupled to a single-mode fibre. The full width at half-maximum of the photocurrent response is 1.6 nm, and the external quantum efficiency is 75%
