Abstract :
The authors show how an active antenna transmitter module can have its frequency stability improved using FM demodulation techniques. A closed loop feedback strategy is presented, in order to improve the bias pushing characteristic of the active antenna from 41 MHz/V to 5 MHz/V. A linearised feedback model for the system is also presented which predicts the frequency pushing characteristic to be 7 MHz/V
