Abstract :
Error-free dispersion compensation at 100 Gbit/s in non-dispersion-shifted fibre has been achieved at 1.54 μm using fibre Bragg gratings that require no chirp. The new design provides one third more dispersion compensation per unit length than chirped grating compensators and greatly simplifies the manufacture of fibre Bragg grating dispersion compensators
