A word of thanks

Elsewhere in this issue you will find an index of papers and authors for the whole of Volume 2, published in 1977. Once again I would like to thank the authors of these papers not only for offering their manuscripts to the Journal hut also for the dedicated manner in which they have responded to the comments of our referees. 1 additionally wish to acknowledge the contribution of the many referees who have given their time and their valued advice both to the authors and to myself. An alphabetical list of these referees appears below and, on behalf of the authors and our staff. I want to offer them my sincere thanks.
