Abstract :
The authors report a compact high performance polarisation-independent InP reflective arrayed waveguide multi-wavelength filter. With a die size of 1.2 mm×2.4 mm, the 8×1.6 nm channel filter operated in the 1.5 μm fibre band with -20 dB crosstalk, 4.9 dB of on-chip loss, and no measurable polarisation sensitivity
