            Abstract : 
Full-duplex analogue fibre-optic transmission is demonstrated using a single low-insertion-loss electroabsorption device as a simultaneous photodetector-receiver and modulator-transmitter at the remote end. Optimisation of the bias voltage results in an RF insertion loss of ~42 dB, each way, with minimal intermodulation distortion
